We depend on our members to help make our events a success. Please consider volunteering for the following ongoing activities. Some jobs take as little as a few hours.

Spring:

By-Member, For-Member classes

We need members to share their talents with other Guild members. This Saturday workshop (usually in February) is a great way to learn a new technique, get to know others outside your interest group, and share your talent.

Monthly meetings

Our Guild meets on the first Monday evening of each month. We would love for more members to join us (either in person or on zoom). If you are willing to bring a treat to share, that is also a great help.

Spring rummage sale

Ready to clean out your stash and find new homes for items you no longer use? Help the Guild raise funds? Every spring (usually April) we host a large craft rummage sale. Besides needing items to sell, we need people to help set it up and make the day run smoothly.

Serving on the DFG Board of the Directors

As our Guild has grown in numbers, we are looking to get more members involved on our board. If this is something you would consider taking on, please reach out to a current board member or the email below.

Fall:

September picnic and membership renewal

We gather every September to share a potluck, renew our membership, show off our accomplishments, meet new people and kick off a new year of working with fiber. We are looking for a great turn-out of our community! We need as many members as possible to attend and bring their membership renewal form and fee. If you can help with set up or clean up, please let me know.

Holiday Fiber Fair and Sale

This is our time to show our community what we make! Please consider selling items you have made (even if it is 1 or 2). We need help with setting up, keeping tables stocked and tidy, answering people’s questions during the sale, and demonstrating our fiber arts.

Grant-writing committee

We need individuals with grant writing experience. This committee is currently being formed.
