Over the next couple of weeks, we are featuring some of the sellers for the Duluth Fiber Guild’s Annual Fiber Fair & Sale! We hope to see you on Saturday, November 15th from 10am-3pm at the Coppertop Church in Duluth!
Today’s featured artist is Josie Cooke. Josie is a weaver, focusing on locally sourced, ecologically friendly, and ethically sourced textiles in line with the Slow Fashion movement. She enjoys creating everything from finely woven dinner napkins to chunky wool rugs. Currently she lives in Grand Marais while in the Artisan Development Program at North House Folk School. She teaches everything from spinning wheel to floor loom weaving at folk schools and organizations around Minnesota. Josie believes traditional craft provides a connection to the earth, our communities, and each other.
