Member meeting featuring speaker Dr. Krista Sue-Lo Twu

This month’s member meeting features a presentation on Medieval Texts & Textiles by one of our Guild members, Dr. Krista Sue-Lo Twu. All are welcome. Please join us!

Dr. Krista Sue-Lo Twu, Associate Professor of Medieval & Renaissance Studies at UMD, will give a presentation on the important economic and social role of textiles in the Middle Ages into the Early Modern Period. They will discuss some of the important material discoveries, and talk about the life cycle of a late-medieval garment, from its raw materials to its afterlife as paper bound into books.
