In the first session, Leslie will introduce the history and basics of Mosaic knitting technique, bringing samples of hats, mittens, head bands and garments for students to examine. Then, students will start practicing garter stripes and basic knit/slip patterns. After the break, we will move on to using the Mosaic pattern charts. Students will leave having begun the cuff of their first mitten, and will come back to class on Thursday to start the mitten.
Instructor will also have copies of a couple more of her mosaic patterns, if students wish to purchase. By the end of class, the students will have started and made progress on their projects, and have any questions or problems addressed.
