This class will teach adults several fun fiber activities that can be shared with youth. The fiber activities will include:
- Weaving on a small loom—children 7 and up can learn the basics of weaving on this easy-to-make loom.
- Kumihimo—simple braiding technique on a handmade cardboard disc. Need to be able to count to 3.
- Paper making—use a blender to make slurry to pour into a cookie cutter that is on a screen. Ages 3 and up.
- Felted butterfly—carded, dyed fleece in a plastic bag with soapy water is patted and patted until the fleece is felted. Then, using a pipe cleaner, it is turned into a butterfly. Ages 3 and up.

Instructor Bio:Sue was an Experience Center Manager for more than 20 years, teaching crafts to kids from preschool to high school age: weaving, ceramics, woodworking, photography, etc. She has been a member of the Duluth Fiber Guild for many years helping with the children’s activities.
Refund policy: If you need to cancel your class registration, you will receive a refund, less a $5 administrative fee, if the cancellation is received fourteen days prior to the class. If you cancel less than fourteen days before the class, you will not be eligible for a refund. If for some reason DFG needs to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund.
